The cooperation between Air Serbia and Mostar Airport is being extended for another year. The Serbian airline will thus continue to offer non-stop flights between Belgrade and Mostar until October 2025.

This flight connection was resumed in April 2024 after a 30-year hiatus and has enjoyed great popularity ever since. July of this year in particular marked a peak in terms of the number of passengers and flight capacity.

With three flights a week – Mondays, Fridays and Sundays – Air Serbia offers travellers a fast and convenient connection between the small capital Belgrade and Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The flight time is only about 50 minutes, making the route an attractive option for business travellers, tourists and locals.

The resumption of non-stop flights between Belgrade and Mostar in April 2024 was a significant step for both Air Serbia and Mostar Airport. After a break of over 30 years, this connection offers residents of both cities and beyond a valuable opportunity to travel not only within the region but also to international destinations. In the first months of the launch, over 6,000 passengers used the route, reflecting high demand.

Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia, was pleased with the successful resumption of the route and stressed the great importance of this connection for passengers. « The very high cabin occupancy, especially in July, shows that the direct flights between Belgrade and Mostar are of great importance for our passengers, » said Rupić.

The connection between Belgrade and Mostar not only offers a direct travel option between the two cities, but also connections to many international destinations. Through the hub in Belgrade, passengers can easily travel to Vienna, Salzburg and other European cities. The Managing Director of Mostar Airport, Ibrica Berberović, emphasized the importance of these flights, especially for business travelers and tourists who use international connections via Belgrade.

« The citizens of Mostar have reacted very positively to the resumption of this connection, » explained Berberović. This is also due to the fact that Air Serbia flies to 17 cities in the countries of the former Yugoslavia through its network, which offers travelers in the region a wide range of options. For Mostar Airport, this means a significant increase in international connectivity, which is of great importance for both tourism and the economy.

Winter flight schedule and new connections

The cooperation between Air Serbia and Mostar Airport will continue in the 2024/2025 winter flight schedule. Flights between Belgrade and Mostar will continue to be offered regularly every week. For travelers from Austria and Germany, there are interesting connection options via Belgrade. For example, you can fly with Air Serbia from Mostar Airport to Vienna and Salzburg. The winter flight schedule includes connections on weekdays Monday, Friday and Sunday, with the flights scheduled so that they can be used for short stays or long weekends.
